After studying at the Academy des Beaux-Arts in Mons, Belgium and later working with children in Brussels I found myself faced with a new chapter in my life. I began painting as a way of exploring this uncharted territory.
I found myself in opposition with the frenetic pace of life, yet unable to disengage myself from it. The only way to escape it was to build a new universe of thoughts, worlds which I inhabit while working on my paintings.
I would like to describe my paintings as an expression of the feelings evoked by colorful dreams. In a way, they are dreams which become reality during the light of day. |
